Kathy Edwards is a licensed clinical professional counselor and attorney who specialized in family law during her 18 years of legal practice.  Her counseling practice includes working with adults, children, couples, and families on a variety of issues.  Kathy received both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Idaho (Go Vandals!).  She received her MS degree in Psychology in 2009 and is currently ABD for her Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology.  She helps clients focus on their thought patterns and the resulting emotions, and how those thoughts and emotions combine to result in behaviors. 


Her ultimate goal with any client is to help that client identify and change their problematic thinking and behavior patterns in order to live a healthier and more satisfying life.  Kathy’s office is “the no judgement zone,” and she fosters an accepting, positive, and open atmosphere in her counseling practice. 


Her specialty is forensic psychology, and she performs Parenting Time Evaluations as a court-appointed expert.  In addition, Kathy is qualified with the court as a Parenting Coordinator, Child Custody Mediator and to perform Therapeutic Supervised Visitation. She is also trained in EMDR. In her free time, Kathy loves to go to her son’s baseball games, and also enjoys making custom jewelry, soaps, and candles.
